However, her desire for authentic expression led her to, Japan, where she now lives and explores new perspectives in her latest painting collections.
Her artwork is a form of translation of the light and dark that she experiences in her culturally diverse life. Drawing upon her Baltic roots and Scandinavian aesthetics, Auguste employs unconventional mediums such as coal, sepia, and chalk, manipulating them in both fluid and textured states.
